Kruskal-Wallis Test Calculator (for Equality of Medians)

-

The Kruskal Wallis Calculator calculates the value of the H statistic and the p-value on the basis of the given sample values.

The H test (or Kruskal-Wallis test) is a non-parametric test that is used to test for the equality of three or more population medians. It is the non-parametric version of the usual one-way ANOVA procedure.

Sample 2

Sample 3

Sample 4

Sample 5

H Statistic: 1.03032

p-value: 0.59740

Rejection Rule:

If the p-value is less than 0.05 (or the value of the H statistic is more than the table value) we reject the null hypothesis and conclude there is a significant difference between population medians. Otherwise, we accept the null hypothesis and conclude that population medians are equal.

The H statistic can be calculated using the formula,

Hey 👋

I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Maths. Prior to this, I completed my master's in Maths & bachelors in Statistics.

I created this website for explaining maths and statistics concepts in the simplest possible manner.
